Tattoo Aftercare

* Rinse the fresh tattoo with cold water and use mild soap or baby wash (lactacyd blue) and gently wipe it dry.

* Apply a light coat of any Antibacterial Skin Ointment i.e. Terramycin. You can also use baby oil, apply this before and after taking a bath to protect the tattoo. Do not apply Petroleum Jelly, it has no healing abilities and may cause a heavy scab.

* Continue to wash the tattoo and apply the ointment 3x a day until tattoo has healed.

* Do not ever pick or scratch the tattoo. It’s natural for a new tattoo to itch during the healing period.

* For the first few weeks, avoid swimming or dipping in pool water. For the first month, avoid too much exposure to the sun. Applying a strong sunscreen (30SPF) is recommended for sunbathing or during prolonged sun exposure.

* Keep tattoo covered with loose clothing.

Note: Failure to follow the proper care directions can extend the healing process or prevent the tattoo from looking at its best.
